Yea, so I hopped onto viking's server tonight...good lord do I hate 1.6...so old and deprecated. Probably never going to play it again, except on a lan. It's just not fun. Especially when the players are so drunk and loud that you have to use voice_enable 0 to even play a decent game, much less hear anything. I think my score shot up to 2.5 k/d from 1.0 after I muted everyone.
Anyway...I really hate 1.6. Yay for Source!

Same here bro. I can't stand 1.6 I uninstalled it months ago. The only reason I continued was because I wanted to play with the GUE/CDMA peeps. Unfortunately the last serveral times I player there all I do is get EXTREMELY angry. It the only time I ever yell curse words while I'm alone haha.
It's really just a GUE community now. Not saying that it's a bad thing, but there are very few of us old schoolers there now. At least last time I was playing there regularly. I believe it's all because of 1.6.

i ahve steam completely uninstalled on my computer. I havent played 1.6 in ages... and still have no reason too.

I want to uninstall 1.6. Does it automatically uninstall the maps you have downloaded? Because I think my whole steam folder is a whopping 30GBs if not bigger. Playing on custom map servers for 4 years adds up.
I do enjoy a good DoD, DoD:S, and CS:S on Zombie mod.

I don't know if it uninstalls everything, but you can delete this entire directory to make sure that you have deleted 1.6.
Steam\SteamApps\<username>\counter-strike
